What the Fuck Am I Doing? Let’s Find Out Together.

Well, This is Happening!

Hi there, and welcome to The Curiosity Chronicles! If you’re reading this, you’re officially part of my “What on Earth is She Doing Now?” chapter, and I’m so glad you’re here.

This is my very first blog post (!!!), and to be honest, I have no idea what I’m doing. But hey, life’s all about learning as we go, right? For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of creating a travel and lifestyle blog where I could share stories, connect with curious minds, and just be myself. So here I am—YOLOing it and figuring it out along the way.

Why Now?

After 40 years of doing all the “right” things—two bachelor’s degrees, a master’s degree, a marriage, a house, and a career—I realized I was living the life everyone else wanted for me. I spent years putting everyone’s needs ahead of my own, masking my neurodivergence, and following the rules that were supposed to lead to happiness. Spoiler alert: they didn’t.

Now, I’m unlearning all of that and trying to figure out who I actually am. I’m chasing curiosity, building community, and sharing stories—because if I’ve learned anything in this wild life, it’s that storytelling has the power to connect us all.

What Can You Expect?

Here, you’ll find a little bit of everything:

  • Travel Tales: Dog-friendly adventures with Ruthie (the sassiest co-pilot ever) and finding joy in new places.

  • Midlife Musings: Navigating the chaos of being a neurospicy elder millennial with humor and a healthy dose of WTF.

  • Life Lessons: You have to know the rules so you can figure out how to get around them.

  • Real Talk: The ups, the downs, and everything in between—because perfection is overrated, and I’m here to keep it real. Oh, and I will say “fuck” a lot.

Let’s Make This a Conversation

Since this is a brand-new project, I’d love your feedback! What do you want to see here? Travel tips? Witchy vibes? Tales of late-stage capitalism and workplace chaos? Hit me up with your ideas—I’m open to suggestions and always looking for inspiration.

So here we are: me, you, and the start of something new. Thanks for being here, for reading this, and for joining me on this messy, curious, wonderful journey. Let’s see where it takes us.
